Kenesha Colson, PA-C
Kenesha Colson earned her master's degree as a Physician Assistant from Western University of Health & Sciences and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. She is a member of the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics & Gynecology. She also completed an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Fellowship Post Graduate Program at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, which included obstetrics and gynecological training. Both of these specialties have always paralleled throughout her career, but women’s health has always remained her true passion. She prides herself on being a provider who listens and appreciates the importance of reproductive health. She continues to stay up to date on the most evidence-based practices in gynecology.
Kenesha is originally from San Diego. She loves living in Ventura because it reminds her of home. In her spare time, you can find her on the beach with her dog or restaurant hopping with her husband.
Sarah Dinkler CNM, WHNP-BC
Sarah Dinkler (she/her/hers) is a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Board Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. A long time Ventura resident, she graduated from the Nursing Program at Ventura College and worked as an RN in Labor and Deliver at Community Memorial Hospital (CMH) for 15 years. During her tenure here, she attended thousands of births, taught childbirth classes at the New Parent Resource Center, and assisted in the development of CMH's "Kangaroo Care" skin-to-skin policies and procedures.
In late 2016, she earned her Master's of Nursing with a concentration in Women's Health Care from Cal State Fullerton and was board certified both a Nurse-Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. After graduation, she worked for two and a half years for Clinicas del Camino Real in both North Oxnard and Ojai, providing outpatient prenatal, gynecologic, contraceptive, and preventative health care. She serves as adjunct faculty at Cal State Channel Islands, teaching Complementary and Alternative Health and clinical rotations for the Care of Mothers, Infants, and Women.
Sarah Dinkler and her husband, Jeffrey, were married over 25 years ago and have two adult children, Zachary and Claire. In addition to spending time with family, she enjoys traveling, culinary adventures, black coffee, an occasional rye whiskey, board games, and hanging out with her dogs, Luna, a white shepherd, and Odin, a one-eyed husky.
Sarah Rasmussen CNM, WHNP
After starting nursing school Sarah immediately realized she wanted to dedicate her career to midwifery and women's health. In 2017, she earned a master's degree in Midwifery and Women's Health from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She was board certified by both the National Certification Corporation and the American Midwifery Certification Board as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse-Midwife.
Her specialized training includes annual well-woman exams, preconception counseling, prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, contraceptive services, sexual transmitted infection screening and treatment, menstrual pain, heavy bleeding, premenstrual syndrome, urinary incontinence, depression, weight loss, menopause, preventative health care and primary care.
Sarah serves as a peer reviewer for Clinical Practice Guidelines in Midwifery, and authors patient education materials.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking healthy meals, biking with her husband and two boys, hiking or running with her Australian Shepard, Greta, learning to play the piano and ukele, and knitting.
