Sarah Rasmussen CNM, WHNP
After starting nursing school Sarah immediately realized she wanted to dedicate her career to midwifery and women's health. In 2017, she earned a master's degree in Midwifery and Women's Health from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She was board certified by both the National Certification Corporation and the American Midwifery Certification Board as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse-Midwife.
Her specialized training includes annual well-woman exams, preconception counseling, prenatal care, childbirth, postpartum care, contraceptive services, sexual transmitted infection screening and treatment, menstrual pain, heavy bleeding, premenstrual syndrome, urinary incontinence, depression, weight loss, menopause, preventative health care and primary care.
Sarah serves as a peer reviewer for Clinical Practice Guidelines in Midwifery, and authors patient education materials.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with my family, cooking healthy meals, biking with her husband and two boys, hiking or running with her Australian Shepard, Greta, learning to play the piano and ukele, and knitting.
